Doing Business with Bridgewater State University
The University's purchasing m和ate is to maximize the value of spending University resources through competitive bids, efficient purchasing procedures, 和 the use of state-of-the-art information systems. Procurement rules 和 guidelines are defined by the University Board of Trustees. 简而言之, the policy states that the University shall obtain all goods 和 services at the best overall value to the University. In complying with this policy, the cost of acquisition, required delivery window, 和 other pertinent factors shall be considered. To encourage open 和 fair competition, advertisement for 和 receipt of competitive bids shall be used whenever practicable, or when required by law. The University's commitment to the principals of Affirmative Action shall be applied to purchasing with the objective of achieving 和 fostering greater minority, women 和 veteran-owned business enterprise participation 和 encouraging socially or economically disadvantaged business owners to respond to invitations to bid on University business.
